Sweden 2017 (Summer)
Amazingly, there are 221,831 islands in Sweden. Around 1,000 are inhabited, including the wonderful Gällnö Island where we spent 5 peaceful and relaxing days. We walked the pine forests and discovered quaint and isolated bays - where the crazier ones of us swam in the Baltic Sea. A few highlights from Gällnö include: the bloody amazing sourdough and kipper sandwiches, the sunsets at midnight, the lazy afternoons drinking wine on the jetty, and beating each other with birch branches in the impossibly hot sauna.

We also spent 3 days exploring the magnificent Stockholm. Some lovely parks and a very interesting museum tour of the Vasa - a fully intact 64-gun warship salvaged from the bottom of the bay almost 500 years after she sank on her maiden voyage in 1628.
