Greece 2021 (Summer)

While we didn’t have time to visit all 6,000 Greek islands, we did have a great time exploring the largest and perhaps the most historical of them all – Crete.  In fact, the Minoan’s were here over 4,000 years ago. Supposedly, Zeus was born high in the Cretan mountains.  Some highlights included: the turquoise waters of Loutro, mountain villages, rustic Mediterranean food, the old towns in Rethymno and Chania, and olive plantations.

We then spent four days sightseeing in Athens. Four years would not have been enough - one of the world’s great cities. We particularly enjoyed the restaurants and old streets in the Plaka district.
